The renovation of Ugala had two ostensibly conflicting expectations: to preserve the authenticity of the original old part but also to renew and modernize it. The result achieved in cooperation with architects is all this - it's recognizably the good old Ugala, yet modern and radiant. In addition,the audience areas expanded during renovation and physical accessibility improved greatly for people with special needs, without detracting from the general impression left by the building.
